We would like to tell you about one of the most fascinating trails in the Dolomites: the Vallesinella Falls. An excursion that promises to be as refreshing as spectacular, perfect for those who seek to reconnect with nature and with themselves.
Starting point: Malga Brenta Bassa
Our day begins at the Malga Brenta Bassa, a large clearing in the woods from which you can admire the Brenta Dolomites in all their grandeur. This is not only our starting point but the prelude to an excursion that promises to be memorable. Equipped with our Aoraki WP shoes, ideal for this type of mixed terrain, we set off along the path that winds through the lush forest.
In the heart of the forest
The forest welcomes us with a solemn silence, broken only by our steps that sink gently into the rich and fragrant soil. The path, well delineated and surrounded by greenery, leads us through the secular trees. The fresh air and light rustling of the leaves create a meditative atmosphere, allowing us to connect deeply with the nature that surrounds us.
The encounter with the Middle Falls
As we go along, the subtle noise turns into the majestic roar of the Vallesinella di Mezzo waterfalls. In front of us opens a natural amphitheater: rocks carved by the water and time frame the tumult of the waterfalls. The water rushes down with force, spraying tiny drops that shine like diamonds in the sun. Let’s stay a moment to contemplate this spectacle, letting us refresh from the water fog.
We continue our way up to the Vallesinella mountain hut. We stop for a sip of water and recover from the climb and start again.

Towards the Vallesinella High Waterfalls
We resume our path, now more steep and adventurous. The path takes us through wooden bridges that wind along the Vallesinella High Falls. Walking alongside these impetuous waters is a powerful experience: the water that flows is a powerful music that accompanies every step.
Arrival at the Malga Vallesinella
After having overcome the last challenges of the route, we arrive in the green pastures of Malga Vallesinella. The Dolomites greet us with their grandeur, as if to close perfectly the circle of this adventure. Let us reflect on how this path, which led us through forests, along spectacular waterfalls and on unforgiving paths, was also an inner journey. Every step on this itinerary immersed in nature, its scents and sounds allowed us to reconnect with nature itself and with ourselves, confirming why this itinerary remains one of our favorites to regenerate.
From Malga Vallesinella Alta you can follow the same path or follow the trail to the Rifugio Casinei and then follow for the Rifugio Vallesinella and the waterfalls of Mezzo.

Notes
The route can also be traveled with children and teenagers as long as they are trained. You can either dedicate the whole day to this itinerary or do it in two phases: one day the Middle waterfalls and one day the High waterfalls, starting in this case from the parking lot of Vallesinella. It all depends on your level of training.
The trail is steep in some sections, so it is advisable to wear a hiking boot, possibly high that protects the ankle. We have tackled it with the Aoraki WP, but also the Thunder Mid WP and the Drift WP can be excellent.
